The Company was incorporated in 1978 to oversee operations in onshore concession areas covering approximately 21,000 square kilometers including five of the most important mainland oilfields in the region. During the first quarter of 2006, the inauguration of the North East BAB has been started.
Frequent contacts with Engineering Mangers / PMT and assets engineering teams on the issues related to variation proposal / claims and scope of work. Contacts the Engineering Manager / Projects Engineers / Chief Engineers on daily basis to provide support / advice on budget / cost estimating requirements and issues.
On Monthly basis, contacts the Corporate Planning Team to develop the corporate reports required for Shareholders briefing.
Analyze the scope change during the technical evaluation period and after awarding the contract and ensure that the cost is not exceeding the approved budget.
-Review and approve contractor payment proposals in coordination with Project Management Team members to ensure that the contractors are paid based on the progress / milestones achieved as per the contract.
- Analyze expenditure and commitment versus the approved budget.
-advise on risk and its implications on budget cost to identify proper contingency provision.
- Prepare and issue Project cost and financial reports to senior management.
-Participate in value engineering session
-Evaluate all claims / variation proposal (VP) and advise management accordingly.
-Prepare variation enquiries to Contractors based on request by ADCO management.
-Prepare submissions in coordination with Project Managers to approve variations.
-Conduct and participate in claims settlement/ contract close out negotiations with Contractors.
-Justify budget variances and address ADCO internal and external Audit findings with respect to project cost control.
B. Sc. In engineering discipline or equivalent plus a professional qualification. 12 years in oil and gas industry. Experience with planning, contracts and cost control software. Financial and contractual experience is an advantage.
