I. Job Purpose & Scope:
Leads and coordinates the activities of a team of multi-disciplined petroleum development staff involved in formulation, planning, delivery and implementation of an optimal and economic development strategy to exploit hydrocarbon reserves according to set production levels in assigned field. Ensures technical quality and integrity of all development activities carried out by the team and / or contractors. Includes receiving production targets, setting team objectives, establishing monitoring controls to ensure that objectives are carried out and targets are met, setting priorities, identifying and allocating resources. Coordinates the development and maintenance of drilling / workover schedule by identifying requirements for drilling, testing, completion, workover and logging of development and exploration wells in assigned field. Follows up on the progress of approved programs, resolves / troubleshoots resultant operational problems and coordinates the provision of ongoing technical support to drilling, production operation and engineering functions in assigned field to ensure sound reservoir management objectives are met.
VI. Knowledge, Skills and Experience/ (Key Competencies)
a. B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or equivalent discipline.
b. 15 years broad experience in oil field development covering production operations, reservoir management including 8 years in senior supervisory position.
