The Company was incorporated in 1978 to oversee operations in onshore concession areas covering approximately 21,000 square kilometers including five of the most important mainland oilfields in the region. During the first quarter of 2006, the inauguration of the North East BAB has been started.
Drives the development of ADCO's Business Plan guidelines, and ensures that the resulting work programme is consistent with ADCO's objectives and guidelines. Provides professional advice and recommendations related to the Business Planning and Budgeting process to senior management. Produces, develops and continuously improves the monthly Corporate Activity Report. Provides senior management with follow up on the achievement of long term planning objectives, work programmes and targets. Produces reports, aid-memoirs and presentations to ADCO Board of Directors and Joint Management Committee. Provides economic and technical analysis and prepares studies and reports on critical issues as required by senior management. Reviews all new Finance Proposals (Capex and Opex) and provides senior Management with recommendations/guidelines on amendments and approvals. Acts for the Team Leader (Strategic Planning) in his absence. Member of the Minor Tenders Board and/or Tender Opening Committee.
- Provides consultation and advice to Managers, Team Leaders and other Senior Staff.
Drives and continuously improves the company's Corporate Planning Process and is responsible for producing the Business Plan.
Provides guidance and professional support to senior management regarding Business Plan, Budgets, work programmes, business improvement, economics, expenditure forecasts, key issues and presentations to Management and Shareholders.
Screens work programmes, budgets and expenditure forecasts to ensure consistency with the Shareholder guidelines, Business Plan and approved budgets.
Prepares the monthly Corporate Activity Report. Performs other related duties, including special policy/cost studies and other reports for management.
Reviews finance proposals to ensure conformity with plans, guidelines and pertinent economic criteria.
Coordinates development and analysis of capital and operating forecasts. Ensures that budgets are consistent with Business Plan.
Provides advice to divisions on how to understand cost of capital, risk and uncertainty, present worth, rate of return and other economic yardsticks which enhances both the quality and the value of economic analysis.
Exercises lateral supervision of divisional and departmental planning and control units to define the contents and the format of their input to shareholder reports to ensure consistency and thoroughness.
Prepares presentations and supporting papers for ADCO Board, JMC and other Shareholder meetings. Ensures that all inter-divisional pertinent issues are uniformly presented.
Chairs and participates in inter-division special studies as requested by Senior Management.
Actively participates in and provides follow-up and secretarial duties for planning and budget meetings.
Provides advice on reviews and revises management reports, particularly Shareholder reports, to ensure validity, consistency and suitability of format.
Directs and supervises planning studies to establish medium/long term strategies throughout the Company.
Supervises, directs and coordinates the development of ADCO wide technical and financial performance measures and monitors performance throughout the year.
Provides a consultancy service in the form of guidance and assistance to divisional managers and department heads throughout ADCO.
Knows the Company, Health, Safety and Environment Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his/her area of responsibility. Ensures that work under his/her control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Ensures effective accident investigation and follow-up. Implements specific Safety Management System Programme activities assigned to him/her.
B.Sc. Engineering in petroleum Engineering degree in Business Administration preferably with additional professional qualifications such as MBA, CPA, ACCA.
12 years experience in oil industry, experience in exploration, development and/or production operations with over 6 years in a senior position. Strong financial planning, mathematical and computer skills are required.
High level of proficiency in English language with strong communications and interpersonal relation skills.
