The Company was incorporated in 1978 to oversee operations in onshore concession areas covering approximately 21,000 square kilometers including five of the most important mainland oilfields in the region. During the first quarter of 2006, the inauguration of the North East BAB has been started.
Provide technical support and advices in the area of energy management engineering, participates in setting Asset’s objectives policy, strategy, and
KPI’s related to Energy Management and provides expert services related to the design, construction & commissioning and operations of the new and existing Asset's oil and gas production, transport and export facilities.
Ensure correct and consistent design practices and design philosophies are applied in the different projects at its various stages to meet Asset’s objectives.
a. Provide technical support and in-house consultant services for the Asset activities in energy management.
b. Provides expert technical advice for increasing efficiency of the energy systems include mechanical, electrical, process, control and building systems and equipment such as water and gas injection, pumping and compression facilities, power generation and transmission, drivers and movers, combustion equipment, heating and cooling processes, steam systems, lighting and HVAC in existing and future projects.
c. Organize and participates in audits and reviews to optimize energy efficiency in new major developments including Peer Reviews, Risk identification/mitigation, Value Engineering, PHSERS, HAZOP, etc.
d. Support setting up and ensure compliance with energy performance standards for efficient operation and maintenance of machinery and facilities.
e. Manage energy audits / surveys on the existing facility/ plant to identify energy conservation opportunities, recommend solutions, conduct techno-economic feasibility studies for the alternatives and monitor implementation.
f. Coordinate establishing baseline for energy consumption, developing energy management database setting up monitoring and reporting mechanism and maintaining regular updating.
g. Ensure performance tests of energy systems and evaluate the testing results against the performance targets and authorize acceptance of performance testing.
h. Participate in the ongoing training and development of UAE national employees assigned to you. Include assessing training and development needs.
i. Ensure effective implementation of Asset’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy in all areas of work under your control and taking corrective actions when necessary.
j. Report on regular basis all energy related data specified by the EnMS or requested by energy manager to ensure Asset meet their targets and KPIs. Participate in the preparation of the energy business plan as applicable to his discipline/Asset.
· BSc. Engineering in Mechanical, Process or Electrical
· 8-10 years diversified experience in design, development, commissioning and operation of oil & gas facilities out of which,
2- 5 years of progressive experience in energy management in oil and gas facilities and building projects
I. Key Accountabilities
· Provide technical assistance in all matters to do with energy engineering and technology.
· Fulfil the Energy Management System (EnMS) requirements in terms of monitoring and reporting
· Contribute to raising staff awareness on energy efficiency related matters
· Act as the Asset’s energy focal point
