The Company was incorporated in 1978 to oversee operations in onshore concession areas covering approximately 21,000 square kilometers including five of the most important mainland oilfields in the region. During the first quarter of 2006, the inauguration of the North East BAB has been started.
Directs and participates in reservoir testing, evaluation and interpretation activities and recommends optimum methods of performance monitoring. Participates in studies designed to define optimum reservoir development plans. Includes setting reservoir testing programs, interpreting results and liaising with other team members and Field Operations personnel to coordinate reservoir engineering requirements. Ensures final reporting well file updating for all analysis and field data and ensures data input by concerned staff. When involved with study projects ensures the receipt, calibration, computer manipulation and output of production test data. Provides advice to other team members on reservoir engineering aspects of the study.
Directs and participates in well surveillance activities and reservoir definition and behavior prediction of assigned reservoir
Conducts conventional reservoir engineering and simulation studies to identify optimum recovery and field development options, adjusts reservoir development plans in response to changes in well and reservoir performance:
Recommends reservoir areas and program features for pilot studies of various oil recovery enhancement techniques
Participates in contracting activities related to special field testing. Includes defining scope of tests, preparing specifications, evaluating bids and recommending contract award.
Directs and participates in defining the scope and content of reservoir studies used to assist in determining well behavior and optimum recovery methods. Includes, establishing program specifications, reviewing available resources, preparing tender documents, reviewing and evaluating bids and monitoring study team performance
Carries out major or complex simulation studies, prepares progress reports and ensures adherence to Company and professional standards. Includes economic and risk analysis studies
Carries out special studies such as enhanced oil recovery evaluations, optimization of water/gas injection and production rates or well positioning studies, as needed. Interprets output from such studies to generate and explain predicted performance, checks assumptions and reports findings accordingly.
